Privacy Policy

What information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version

We only collect what you send us and basic visit data. We never sell your information or use it for targeted ads.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Visiting From Space (“we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information through visitingfromspace.com (the “Site”) and when you communicate with us about our services.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form or otherwise contact us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, company name, company website, the topic you choose and your message. If you become a client, we also collect business contact details, billing information and the materials you share for your PR campaign.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the servers that host the Site and deliver its fonts automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit.

Cookies. The Site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy first.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you not send it.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests, and send you information you ask for.
  • Prepare proposals and provide, manage and bill for our services.
  • Pitch and share client news with the media as part of our services.
  • Operate, secure and improve the Site, and prevent spam and abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We may contact you about our services if you have contacted us or are a client. You can ask us to stop at any time.

How We Share Information

We share personal information only as needed with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Media contacts, when you are a client and the information is part of approved press materials or interview arrangements.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others.
  • A successor business, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Do Not Track and Third-Party Tracking

We do not track visitors over time and across third-party websites to provide targeted advertising, so we do not respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do not knowingly allow other parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.

The Site links to other sites, such as our CES landing page hosted by a third-party provider and our social media pages. Those sites may use their own cookies and tracking, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Contact form messages that do not lead to a client relationship are generally deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you messages, by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. We may keep information when the law requires it or allows it.

California residents. Depending on the circumstances, California law may give you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to access, correct or delete it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it); and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To make a request, contact us and write “Privacy Request” in your message.

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents may ask whether we disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. We do not.

Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors Outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. By using the Site, you understand your information will be handled under U.S. law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we will place a notice on the Site. Please check this page periodically.
