Satoshi Shiraga, the CEO of Cellid, spent an extensive period as a researcher in the realm of elementary particles. During this time, he conducted experiments aimed at replicating events that occur with very small probabilities through the simultaneous computation of vast amounts of data on a computer. His aspiration was to integrate this technology into society, laying the foundation for the company's inception. The journey began with the development of an image recognition engine, utilizing neural network and grid computing technologies. Progressing from there, the focus expanded to 3D spatial recognition. As the company delved into providing spatial recognition services, they began researching extended reality XR glasses. Conversations with engineers revealed that the hardware, particularly the display part of XR glasses, posed a significant challenge. Recognizing Japan's prowess in optical engineering and semiconductor materials, crucial for XR glasses development, the company embarked on the path of creating cutting-edge XR glasses.
